Four Walls

Four Walls was founded in 2000 as a nonprofit housing developer with a mission to develop housing for very low-income residents of the District of Columbia who suffer from chronic mental disabilities. Four Walls develops and manages the properties and partners with social service providers who assist their residents with counseling, job training/placement and independent living. Since its inception, Four Walls has developed 26 units in 5 projects located in different wards of the city. Four Walls has acquired and is currently in the process of developing 5 new projects which will produce an additional 83 units of rental housing. Four Walls has received substantial loan support from the Cornerstone Fund - a community development financial institution dedicated to the financing of housing for residents of the District of Columbia with mental disabilities.

Four Walls recently purchased and rehabilitated this 15 unit property on Martin Luther King Ave SE to be used for housing for some of the lowest income residents of Washington DC.
